All sales of mattresses, box springs and bunkie boards are final and may not be returned or exchanged.

Bedding is supported on all of our beds by four slats pegged into the siderails. Queen and king beds are supplied with a center support extending from the headboard to the footboard. Extra slats are available as an option or alternative to a bunkie board.

All of our beds are most attractive with up to 16” of height, including your bedding. Too high can be unattractive. We've selected combinations of a mattress and foundation (bunkie board) to achieve an excellent comfort level at this height including, mattress with a bunkie board (a 2.5” high solid wood platform without springs that substitutes nicely for a box spring).

Innersprings? Coils?
We've deciphered basic mattress language and can tell you fewer coils (ie: 368 count) and a thicker gauge of wire (ie: 12.5) provide a "stiffer" initial feeling. This is preferable for those who like a "firm" mattress. More coils (ie: 660 count) and a thinner gauge of wire (ie: 14.5) provides a "softer, more body-conforming" initial feeling. Both coil counts/coil gauges are of equal strength and durability - they just "feel" different depending on your sleeping preference.

The addition of a Memory foam or extra soft Latex foam layer of padding adds softness and the sense of being "forgiving, conforming" to your body. Pillow tops speak for themselves and are reversible.

Overall, the quality of all the mattresses is equal. It's a matter of personal preference or practicality in the case of guest beds in seasonal homes, bunk rooms, etc. Call us for further assistance.
