Furniture Delivery Time
Our painted and upholstered furniture is built to order. The time it takes to build and complete the delivery of an order depends on the size and complexity, as well as the delivery location. If you have a deadline to meet, it is best to call us and speak with a design consultant at 866.366.3505 and press 2. We can create a delivery plan that best fits your needs.
Once your order is built and ready to ship, you will receive an email from our Shipping Department with an anticipated delivery time for your specific order. Our lead times vary from season to season. Please call a Customer Service Associate at 866.366.3505 to verify your specific lead time when placing an order.
Most accessory items and a number of smaller furniture items are available to ship within the continental US via ground carrier (FedEx or UPS) for a standard charge equal to 15% of the total order value. Please note, items ordered at the same time using this delivery method may not be delivered together.
Larger items that can be appropriately packaged for delivery via common carrier may also be shipped for 15% of the order plus a small handling fee, in which case our service level is a threshold or first dry area. Once shipped, items being delivered via ground or common carrier typically arrive within 4-10 business days. With threshold service, you can expect a call from the delivery company to schedule a window of time for the delivery (Monday-Friday, 8am - 8pm). The items are unloaded by the driver and brought to the first threshold. The customer is responsible for disposal of crating, pallets, and all packaging as well as assembly, if required. Please make sure a freight truck can access the property to ensure a proper delivery experience.
National "White Glove" Home Delivery
Please be advised, we highly recommend that most Maine Cottage® furniture be delivered via "white glove" delivery. This type of shipping method typically takes a little longer, but we don't feel as if our job is complete until your handcrafted furniture is safely in your home. We take tremendous pride in the quality and craftsmanship of every piece of furniture. With the care and attention we place on our building and finishing processes, we would not trust our deliveries to just anyone. Shipping companies we choose to partner with must meet our high standards of customer service. Delivery will be scheduled for a day and time that works best for you. White glove delivery includes assembly (if required), placement of all furniture in its place of use, and removal of all packaging materials.

Expedited shipping options are available for an additional charge for some items. This might include Next Day or Second Day Air. Please contact a Design Associate at 866.366.3505 and press 2 for further information.
Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and certain high-tariff locations within the continental US (Martha’s Vineyard, for example) will incur additional charges. Please call our Customer Service department for further details or an estimate.
For shipping to far-reaching areas like the West Coast, South Florida, the Southwest, and Upper Peninsula of Michigan, additional shipping time may be required based on the loading schedule for those deliveries. Your order may be delayed by 2-3 weeks beyond the normal delivery schedule. Please contact Customer Service if you have a deadline and live in one of these areas.
